The journey of the education of a child is a joint venture between the parents and teachers. The home and the school are complementary forces that shape a child’s personality while we would like to assure you of doing our bit, we look forward to your unstinting cooperation in the best interest of your ward. Please go through the following for your information and guidance:
- Please drive home the importance of punctuality, discipline and personal hygiene to your ward by checking his uniform and haircut regularly and ensuring that he/she reaches school on time.
- See that your ward carries books/exercise books according to the time table for that day as also other stationery items like pens, pencils, erasers etc.
- Teach him/her the value of Time Management at an early age. Encourage your child to take a balanced interest in studies, co-curricular activities and sports. Make a conscious effort to regulate his/her study hours. Studying too much or too little can have far reaching consequences.
- If your ward is absent from school, guide him/her to make up for all the work missed.
- Do not permit your child to bring a mobile phone to the school. Such students as are found fluting this rule, are liable to be dealt with most strictly.
- Instruct your child to be responsible about his/her belongings. The school bears no responsibility for articles lost in the school.
- Guide him/her to pursue recreational activities like reading, painting etc. Take him/her out occasionally on trips to the museum observatory etc.
- Discourage the consumption of fast food and aerated drinks. Using gentle and tactful persuasion, replace these with fruits, milk and home made food.
- Encourage him/her to go out in the evenings for a walk or games for physical and social well being.
- Curtail T.V. viewing hours and monitor the kind of programmes your child watches. Discuss current topics judiciously, keeping in mind his/her age group. Encourage him/her to be aware of issues related to his/her surroundings and environment.
- Assist him to use the computer for constructive purposes like the making of projects, seeking information instead of simply playing games, listening to music etc.
- Help your child develop the right value system by being mindful of your own behaviour. Being discourteous to your elders, neighbours, those who work for you, fellow commuters on the road etc. and harshly critical and derogatory of others, including the school and teachers, can warp an impressionable mind.
- Keep a macro vision in mind. Plan the further education of your ward beyond the school in good time so that he/she may be eligible to compete for the maximum number of institutions of higher education.
